Lone Sun Builders is awarded the Bronze Level STEP Award. The ABC National Safety Excellence Awards recognize companies that exhibit a continued commitment to jobsite safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Safety and Health Committee. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP applications, essay questions and video interviews with company presidents/CEOs/principals about their corporate safety culture. Award categories are based on a company’s total work hours per calendar year and placement within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS codes).
STEP is a safety benchmarking and improvement tool that has evolved into a world-class safety management system that dramatically improves safety performance among participants regardless of company size or type of work. Participating ABC member firms measure their safety processes and policies on 25 key components through a detailed questionnaire with the goal of implementing or enhancing safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents.
